Interesting Information
The herpes simplex virus has been aggravating the world since time immemorial. It is indeed a plague because there is no known herpes cure. Becuase herpes withdraws and hides in the nerves between outbreaks (it then lies dormant), it is virtually impossible for your body to fight it.
Herpes announces itself in an outbreak of tiny vessicles manily around the genital area which later turn into open lesions. After an attack the HSV backtracks to the nerve endings and hides, making it impossible to treat or to find a cure.
Herpes Cure FactsScientists are working hard to try to find a cure for herpes. As of now the only form of treatment is that which helps suppress the herpes outbreaks as well as topical treatments to kill the virus once an outbreak occurs.
Many people wonder if scientists are making any headway when trying to find a herpes cure. In reality this virus is going to be very hard to cure, because it is a virus. Typically we have to rely on our bodies to kill these viruses. So when talking about herpes, when our bodies go to fight the infection, the virus retreats back into the nerve endings and lies dormant. There the body cant attack it , and the only time that it reappears is when another herpes outbreak happens.
Herpes Cure MedicinesPrescription drugs is currently the only solution that we have for herpes. Antiviral medication can help suppress the herpes outbreaks (but is not a herpes cure) and (sometimes) keeps the condition dormant. However exposure to lots of stress can still cause a herpes outbreak. As of now there are no approved herpes vaccinations; however scientists are testing vaccinations on willing participants.
Being careful cannot cure herpes, however...
Always use protection with new partners or if you know or suspect your partner may be infected with herpes. This alone will help enormously in protecting you from getting infected with the herpes virus.
Also oral sex is another major source of herpes infection. Oral infections on the inside of the mouth are happening more and more every day. So when considering oral sex one must also use some form of protection as well. Again, the protection is not a cure for herpes but it just reduces the risk of becoming infected.
Refraining from having any intercourse with another is the only sure way to avoid the spread of herpes.
